A New Hope

A long time ago, in a country far, far away the Cowabunga Dude wrote a blog post about riding bicycles in Portland and Guadalajara.  The evil Republic Coche has continued it’s smoggy reign and forced the beautiful and enchanting Princess Carla to flee.  The time is come for the Cowabunga Dude to begin his journey again.

However, the great Polobellion has trained the Cowabunga Dude well and helped him rediscover Cadence.  Through their efforts and the power of the Cadence, the Cowabunga Dude has failed for three weeks to mount the mighty Sir Norte and exit the city of Guadalajara.  But the desolate lands of the galaxy beckon and the Cadence is too strong for the Cowabunga Dude to remain idle.  Preparations are complete and he is ready to strike.

But first, a Star Wars-esque recap of the Whistling Adventures of The Cowabunga Dude and Sir Norte in Guadalajara…

Goodbye Guadalajara.  You were amazing.  This has been, without a doubt, the wildest 9 months of my life.  Nothing has been more insightful and few have been more rewarding.  I have a feeling we will see each other again.

I leave with loss gear, loss strength and giant hope.  And as the wise Princess Carla says, “Hope is the last thing you lose, but you’ve got a star in your ass.”  Cheers!
